Welcome to K-9 Motivation. We are a full service dog training and boarding facility on 29 acres in Salvisa, Kentucky, which is conveniently located only 30 minutes from downtown Lexington, Kentucky.
Some of the services we offer include basic and advanced obedience training, behavior modification, AKC obedience, training for Schutzhund, protection work, doggie daycare, boarding and German Shepherd sales. Our goal at K-9 Motivation is to help you have a more positive relationship with your dog through training, education, and communication. Dogs do not come into our lives like "Lassie". They are not "tailor-made", arriving in our homes knowing how to sit, lie down, or stay, They definitely don't know it isn't polite to pee on the rug and then chew a hole in it or the difference between a squeaky toy and a new pair of shoes!
We want to help you and your canine succeed in this learning process through a comprehensive educational training program uniquely designed for you and your dog. As no two dogs are alike, no two training programs are alike. Some dogs will work for praise alone, while others need further motivation such as a ball, a toy, or a treat. At K-9 Motivation, we will evaluate your dog and lifestyle to determine the best course of training for you and your special K-9 companion.
